- I'm running an older Mac tower-running 10.4.11. Firefox will not support this OS after a while. Don't thing I can install newer Mac OS(10.5) on this machine. There's some talk about installing Linux OS but takes me to confusing Wikipedia page. So, do I need to spend $$$ and purchase a new Mac computer?

I'm running a version of MySQL 4 on a Mac G4 tower, which is running OS X 10.4.11 (Tiger).
I read in another forum post that I need to install the 32-bit version of MySQL - ok - but in the downloads (http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/) I only see versions for OS X 10.6 and 10.5 - nothing for 10.4.
Do I need to look elsewhere? Or is one of these versions safe for 10.4?
I have a lot of running dbs so want to be extra careful that I don't break things doing this upgrade...
Thanks,
Bob
